Protecting the Ocean's Giants 

Founded in 2009 by renowned marine scientists Dr. Andrea Marshall and Dr. Simon Pierce, the Marine Megafauna Foundation was created to protect the world's ocean giants from extinction. Over the years, the team has grown, expanding its impact through global research, education, and outreach focused on the conservation of marine megafauna. 

Groundbreaking Research 

MMF scientists have conducted pioneering studies on sharks and rays, particularly manta rays and whale sharks, that have been instrumental in driving their global protection. These iconic species serve as powerful flagships for marine conservation, helping draw attention to the broader health of the oceans.
