ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT

Last updated: January 2026

Indigo Earth Foundation is committed to ensuring that our website, www.indigoearthfoundation.com, is accessible to everyone — including people with disabilities — and that it reflects our values of inclusion, respect, and transparency.

1. Our Commitment

We strive to make our digital content usable by as many people as possible.
Our goal is to meet or exceed the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, recognized internationally as the standard for accessible websites.

This commitment applies to all current and future versions of our site, across English (US), English (UK), and French pages.

2. Measures Taken

To support accessibility, Indigo Earth Foundation has taken the following measures, where supported by the Wix platform and site configuration:

  • Built the website using the Wix platform, which provides accessibility-ready templates and ARIA support.

  • Implemented semantic HTML structure and clear heading hierarchy (H1 > H2 > H3 …).

  • Ensured sufficient color contrast for text and background.

  • Added alt text for images and non-text elements.

  • Designed pages to support keyboard navigation. Focus order generally follows the structure of the page, with some elements following a structural order determined by the site platform.

  • The website uses limited animation effects. Automatic entrance animations are reduced where supported by user system preferences, while hover-based animations are user-initiated and kept subtle.

We continue to review and update accessibility features as the site evolves.

3. Current Accessibility Status

The site is partially conformant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.

Some interactive elements may receive focus in an order that does not fully match the visual layout.

This means that most of our website content and functionality meet accessibility standards, while some areas, particularly third-party integrations, may not yet fully comply.

Examples include:
• Embedded videos or media players that may lack captions, transcripts, or custom keyboard controls.
• Third-party forms, maps, or donation tools that do not allow full screen-reader or keyboard navigation.
• External widgets or plug-ins whose accessibility features are managed by their respective providers.

Wherever possible, we select vendors and tools that demonstrate a commitment to accessibility and provide alternatives when they do not.

Our goal is to meet or exceed the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, and to monitor future updates to these standards.

We are continuously working to improve accessibility and welcome feedback that helps us identify areas for improvement.
