We’re proud to announce the creation of Indigo Earth Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to protecting wildlife while strengthening the communities who live closest to nature.
Established in 2025 with charitable entities in the US, UK, and France, the foundation formalizes a commitment that began many years ago. It is the natural continuation of Christopher Bartlett’s long-standing investment in conservation, education, and community development through Indigo Safaris.
Rooted in Real Field Experience
Indigo Earth Foundation is the natural evolution of the work that Christopher Bartlett, founder of Indigo Safaris, has been carrying out since 2009. For more than a decade, Christopher has reinvested 30% of Indigo Safaris’ profits into conservation, education, and community initiatives across Africa and Papua New Guinea.
The initiatives chosen are small, remote, under-the-radar projects run by passionate and dedicated people working directly in the field, the kinds of initiatives where even modest support creates a substantial impact.
Indigo Earth Foundation aims to support genuine, high-impact initiatives, increase their visibility, develop new partnerships, and secure additional, tax-efficient funding to help them grow.
What defines Indigo Earth Foundation
A few principles shape our mission and structure.
A commitment to genuine impacT
We support field-based organizations that deliver tangible results for wildlife, ecosystems, and people.
100% of donations go to the field
Every contribution is directed to the chosen initiative (excluding unavoidable platform fees). This maximizes impact where it matters most.
A focus on remote, high-impact projects
We partner with initiatives that demonstrate authenticity, measurable results, and a strong connection to their communities.
A human-centered vision of conservation
We believe wildlife conservation and human development reinforce one another. When people benefit from healthy ecosystems, they become long-term protectors of the natural world.
A long-term legacy
The foundation is designed to endure beyond its founder, ensuring continuity of support for generations to come.
