HOW DO WE SUPPORT THEM?
Supporting Malaria No More’s Eradication Efforts Through Annual Donation
MNM reports that although global malaria deaths have fallen by about 60% since 2000, recent figures show that nearly 600,000 people died from malaria in 2023.
The disease continues to impose a heavy economic burden: keeping children out of school, adults away from work, and slowing growth in endemic countries.
It is therefore a global priority to focus on eradicating the parasite rather than merely controlling it.
The Indigo Earth Foundation shares this vision and provides annual donations to support the organisation's efforts.
WHO ARE THEY?
A Global Mission to End Malaria Within a Generation
Malaria No More (MNM) envisions a world "where no one dies from a mosquito bite". Its core mission is to catalyse and inspire global partnerships, leadership, and financing to end malaria within a generation.
Founded in 2006 during a pivotal global moment, the organisation was launched at the White House Summit on Malaria, hosted by then-President George W. Bush, when he announced a major public-private campaign to defeat the disease.
Driving Awareness, Funding, and Political Commitment Worldwide
MNM focuses its resources on three main areas:
Advocacy and communications: Building campaigns to raise awareness of malaria's burden, influence policymakers, and mobilise public support.
Mobilising funding and leadership: Securing global and national commitments, both financial and political, to keep malaria high on the global health agenda.
Partnerships and local engagement: Collaborating with grassroots groups, governments, and regional coalitions to implement campaigns and strengthen local capacity.
More than a traditional charity, MNM works to influence global systems, shaping policy, improving funding flows, and driving accountability in the fight against malaria.
